Action Team Updates

3-10-21 – Our Outreach, Education, and Marketing Team is continuing to work with MCSTOPPP on a countywide trash reduction ad campaign that will launch later this year…stay tuned! Update: While Covid-19 has delayed this project, MCSTOPPP is still planning for a summer 2021 ad campaign launch date.

7-1-20 – The Source Control Action Team continues to work hard in support of the County of Marin Reusable Foodware Ordinance and the draft ordinance has been released! Update: The County is continuing to work with restaurants to get feedback and buy in. The ordinance is scheduled to go to the Board of Supervisors in late 2021.

7-1-21 – Due to Covid-19 organized Volunteer Programs Action Team group events had been cancelled since the beginning of the pandemic. Now that things are improving, some of the organized cleanups are resuming, even if in a limited capacity. If you are continuing to conduct cleanup activities in your neighborhood, please maintain social distancing recommendations, wear the appropriate personal protection, and bag all trash (especially discarded gloves and masks) in closeable plastic bags. When possible, use a litter grabber instead of your gloved hands!

6-8-20 – Our Clean Highways Action Team has received word from Caltrans that cleanups at Adopt a Highway spots in Marin can resume on June 15, 2020.
