11-1-22 – Our Outreach, Education, and Marketing Team is continuing to work with MCSTOPPP on the second round of their countywide “Keep It Clean, Marin!” trash reduction ad campaign that will launch in early 2023…stay tuned! The first round launched in 2021 and included ads on buses and bus shelters, YouTube videos, and other digital and social media platforms. For more, check out our #StopLitter page.
5-10-22 – The Source Control Action Team worked hard in support of the County of Marin Reusable Foodware Ordinance and On May 10, 2022, the Marin County Board of Supervisors adopted the Reusable Foodware Ordinance! NOTE: ENFORCEMENT WILL NOT BEGIN UNTIL NOVEMBER 10, 2023. Our team will continue to assist the county during the official roll out.
3-1-22 – The Covid-19 pandemic put our organized Volunteer Programs Action Team group events on hold for the better part of two years. Now that things are improving, many of the organized cleanups are resuming, even if in a limited capacity. If you are continuing to conduct cleanup activities in your neighborhood, please maintain social distancing recommendations, wear the appropriate personal protection, and bag all trash (especially discarded gloves and masks) in closeable plastic bags. When possible, use a litter grabber instead of your gloved hands!
6-8-22 – Our Clean Highways Action Team continues to work with Caltrans to make sure that all of their available Adopt a Highway spots in Marin are adopted and being cleaned up. A special thanks to many of our Clean Marin partners who have adopted these spots and carry out regular cleanups!
